The 25th November, 2020 was a day of rejoicing and thanksgiving to God as the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ held the closing celebration of PHJC presence in India and the celebration of the Golden Jubilee of the religious profession of Sr. Gonzalo, the Ruby Jubilee of Srs. Sharlene, Sunitha and Thomasina and the Silver Jubilee of Sr. Suseela.
In remembrance of the Golden jubilee of the PHJC presence in India, a small shrine of the Mary Help of Christians was erected and it was blessed by Rev. Fr. Xavier Manavath CMF, before the Holy Eucharistic celebration.
Rev. Fr. Xavier Manavath CMF, the Episcopal Vicar for the religious in the Archdiocese of Bangalore presided over the Holy Eucharist and two Salesian priests co-celebrated with him.
At the outset of the Eucharist, Rev. Fr. Xavier CMF, thanked God for the gift of PHJC presence in India and congratulated the jubilarians. In his homily Fr. After the jubilee celebration a short congratulatory programme was held for the jubilarians to acknowledge their years of dedicated service as members of the congregation. In their note of thanks they expressed their gratitude to God for His fidelity, faithfulness and unconditional love and to the PHJC Sisters for their companionship, guidance and care.
